Dinner on the last Sunday of the month is at Tender Mercies, a home for the mentally disabled homeless of Cincinnati. You can help by signing up at Hannaford Hall.
Calvarys volunteers work with the Interfaith Hospitality Network. Volunteers provide food and evening hosting for temporarily homeless families. If interested in helping please contact the church office.
This year the Calvary Outreach Committee has distributed funds to Tender Mercies, Washington UCC, Mary Magdalen House and The Interfaith Hospitality Network.
Other local charities which we support with our work and money include Clifton Senior Center, First Step Home, Prospect House, Free Store Food Bank, St. Andrew’s Food Pantry, and Church of our Savior program. Total cash gifts for 2005 were $20,000
Our rector and parishioners personally delivered supplies and assistance for Hurricane Katrina Relief on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.
And, further abroad, we travel to El Hogar Boys Home and School in Tegucigalpa, Honduras every summer to support their infrastructure. If interested in getting involved, contact Rector Jason Leo.
